Noosa Beach

Main beach is the most popular beach being well protected and reached from Hastings Street and from the car parks in Noosa Woods. Within Noosa National Park there are three beautiful beaches (no patrols) that can be reached along the coastal path. Tea Tree Bay is the nearest to the car park then Granite Bay and furthest along is Alexandria Bay which is a clothes optional beach.

Sunshine Beach lies to the south of Noosa Heads and is a very exposed beach with magnificent sands and can be reached using Sun Bus service 1 from Noosa Parade Interchange. It is a dangerous beach as exposed to the Pacific Ocean and swimming must strictly be done between the flags, as at all beaches!

Further down the coast is Peregian Beach with a collection of shops and cafés and Marcus Beach both beaches on Sun Bus route 1. The North Shore Beach extends for 40 miles and reached by 4Wd vehicles but too dangerous for swimming.

Noosa National Park

The Noosa National Park Headland section is one of the most frequently visited national parks in Australia, and for good reason. Easily accessible from famous Hastings Street or from Sunshine Beach to the south, the park is a haven for outdoorenthusiasts from nature-lovers and picnickers to bushwalkers and sufers. It has an abundance of wildlife, including spirited bush turkeys, lumbering goannas and everyone's favourite, koalas.

The rocky headland of the park features creashing surf and sheltered bays that are both sandy and stony, while the scenic vistas take in ancient sand hills, deep cool vine forests, damp palm groves and heath-covered slopes. The southern sections of the park are home to significant tracts of wallum, a wet landscape filled with banksia trees and stunning wildflowers that bloom from August to October each year.

The Eumundi Markets

The Eumundi Market is one of Australia's leading tourist attractions and is held every Saturday and Wednesday of the year come rain, hail or shine. Situated in the heart of the historic town of Eumundi is the original world-renowned Eumundi Market, established 1979. This otherwise sleepy hinterland town springs to life in the early hours of the morning, transforming into a vibrant mecca for shoppers looking for something different.

View artworks and sculptures by local artists. Taste home-made lemonade, freshly baked breads, locally grown produce and fresh seasonal fruit. Have your face painted, your palm read or indulge in a foot massage. When you need a break from the shopping there's plenty of local talent to keep you entertained. Listen to the diverse music of the electronic didgeridoo and bongo drums or traditional bush poetry and street theatre.
